Leila Fool

Suzan Hijab

I was born in Jaffa 1942,  During konflickt (Arab World / Israel) 1948, the family moved to Egypt / Alexandria). I started as a young child to draw. My only desire was to be a painter which I managed until 1971.

I am divorced 2 times. I have a son "actor"

Only in Germany, I was able to search for home and saves me the constant re-, and megrationen.

As an Arab woman, a Palestinian  (now artist ) living is hard in the world on the other side I learn much. I lived long as european I know the distinction.

For me was importantly since my study to go on Arab way in the art.
The European history of art was to be defined my instructor.

There here art of a Christian world. There an unknown art of the Arab Islamic world.

The art is a reflection of the time, the divination always a new of known from the philosophies.

There are many trends that were around me. The most important is certainly the diploma preparations and development was important to me. which way the next few years I'm going. Finally I red by Walter Benjamin .. "has to do with the Art in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction.
1971-1975 when I was studying long gone behind me. Finally I was able to enter an academy. Lifetime longing that I was never satisfied. Half my life behind me - the next in front of me - it was my duty to take my new future seriously.

My early life was weird. to 14 Year, I lived freely within the family of my father, a lot of swimming, reading a lot.
By Grandma I learned God prohibitions,  the feet not show up to god. Later I saw the women hide their hands, or the shoe properties, which continues today.
The point that my father saw me I'm painting and dance, he was shocked.
Two opposites clashed against each other, which I found in my work. Only unconsciously access in my art found. It started with 1001. The expression of the eyes says no. The contradictory man and woman whose connection with the heavenly God (paternoster). Or the 4 pyramids of Islam.
The artist sees processed trying new vision. Topics that you can not paint, I'm draughtswomen I can not help it. I've been through a lot of thought processes with all philosophers ended up staying a few. I started dealing with the Islamic philosophers, who changed much work in Europe, unfortunately now be seen in the East, they have become insulting slogans. one rejects them  in the implementation. and returns back.

It would be wise if the Islamic / Arab world have find their identities.
Previously they lived lost between wars and foreign dominions that no orientations take place.
The people of Europe have always made revolts - but in the Islamic world was never popular movements, which goes through Europe for 3000 years.
Even before the Romans were popular revolution in Europe.

I find the art connects can connects the nations to reconcile.

Art in Frankfurt / Medium drawing
In a certain sense, the art of drawing requires the sensitive, the paths of knowledge de artist following observer, it is among the leiseseste image arts.

"Of all the forms of fine art seem drawings particularly likely to focus attention on the perception of the means of representation, because they are generally less complex despite their nuances wealth and sophistication and because the square of the canvas is well arranged, as the drawing is a" deception using clear funds ", you stand so representation means of one another and perceive for themselves, may finally have drawings for nachvollziehende eye particularly useful because we have the decision by the track and the movement of the drawing hand directly from us….
Especially in a thematic organization of work "40 Artists" surprised the variety of individual expression. In the figurative area ... there .... the narrative aspect of "hijab"
